Mario Andretti
Passion, commitment, and determination are the fuels that propel Mario Andretti to success time and time again. After a rich history of auto racing filled with celebrations and triumphs, Mario now contributes his talents beyond the track to the business world as he leads a number of companies to accomplish ambitious goals.
Throughout his career, his quests to achieve racing championships led him around the world and presented Mario with unique challenges to master tracks with expertly designed equipment and superior driving skills. Today those experiences pave the foundation for excellence in business leadership as he drives performance through his philosophy of hard work, perseverance, innovation, and teamwork.
Mario began his racing career in his hometown of Nazareth, Pennsylvania back in 1959. Throughout his life, he accomplished numerous achievements making him a legend on the track. As the winner of the Indianapolis 500, the Daytona 500, the Formula One World Championship, the Pikes Peak Hillclimb, and the IndyCar Championship among others, his 111 wins over five decades provided him the knowledge and experience of what it takes to be a winner.
Today Mario applies that experience to other fields within his community and with a myriad of businesses. As a result, his native country of Italy provided him the title of Commendatore in 2006 and the Library of Congress proclaimed him a living Legend in 2008. While further titles continue to come his way, it’s the pursuit of excellence and commitment to outstanding performance that inspires Mario in his business leadership career.
